Years ago a lady explained the male and female dominance hierarchy. She didn’t use those words and it only occurred to me that that was what she was talking about after reading this.

When a man meets another man he sizes him up with “Could I take him?” When a woman meets another woman she sizes her up with “Could I take her man?”

That is primal and outside of the economic, business hierarchy (nature rather than nurture). Sub hierarchies.
