“Give me the child for his first seven years, and I’ll give you the man” — Jesuit maxim or Aristotle quote
When I was a boy I took the NRA Safe Hunter course in my desk at school. Later, in high school we had an indoor rifle range, armory and intramural competition using NRA targets and rules. We also had less of the shootings which occur in the age of “No Firearms” signs and “guns bad” propaganda. In other words, I’m one of the people you are anxious to see die off so the indoctrinated children you cheer will vote for a totalitarian government with total control over the masses.
A common theme when an abused woman (yes, men get abused too) describes her abuser’s behavior the word controlling comes up. To enable abuse most effectively controlling the abused is essential. Control their will, control their ability to defend themselves, control their actions. The potential for violence and force is always there when there is control.
Gun control is not about controlling guns, it is about controlling people. The control is through the force of law by armed enforcers. Firearms, also known as the great equalizer, give small women and senior citizens the possibility of defending themselves, or defending children in their charge against violent men in their physical prime. I find people who wish themselves and others to be at the mercy of people with more power to be quite puzzling.
Nobody like being controlled, it is abuse.
