The common thing that always pops up in articles about the peaceful, egalitarian past seems to be small population. Could it be that when population reaches some critical point that scarcity or something changes worldview and behavior? I don’t know the answer to that but it is a thought that reoccurs when I read your articles on this subject.
You know that I view submission to the will of the group a tyranny upon the individual. That is not the same as people acting voluntarily for the good of the group. I speculate that as the size of the group increases the individual may be less willing to sacrifice himself to the group.
The male vs female in change really means nothing to me since I don’t see that changing anything. We have modern examples of women as executives that show that. I see environment as a bigger factor than patriarchy vs matriarchy.
