Sadly, “Individually, within relationships, I know that there are good, kind, humane “w̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ black” people. However, it is a matter of life and death to me and those I love, to take a risk to trust them as a group.” is something the white people who fear you because of the color of your skin think.
People are guided by self interest and the idea that it is more perilous to be black than to be white means nothing to them if they hold that attitude because they perceive that you are a danger to them. Their perception is their reality, just as yours is.
People of all races think it is unjust that they, as an individual, are judged by perceptions of their group. They are all correct in that.
