In The Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx and Fredrick Engels wrote about the class struggle between the bourgeoisies and the proletarians. The bourgeoisie are capitalists who own the means of production and the proletarians are the working classes who are employed by the bourgeoisies. Due to their wealth, the bourgeoisies had the power to control pretty much of everything and the proletarians had little or no say in any political issues. The modern political left no longer uses the words bourgeoisies and the proletarians but the sameness of the core philosophy is undeniable.
You don’t attempt to deny it but call the right fascist as a rebuttal . Fascism is a system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent government controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.
When the Articles of Confederation were abandoned in favor of the US Constitution power was moved toward central power (we were warned by the Anti-Federalists) but the intention was sovereign States to temper the power of the central government.
Who is it that is promoting a more powerful central government by ending the electoral college (states as sovereign entities) for direct national democracy?
The Left is currently doing a fine job of making America ungovernable and Trump certainly has no dictatorial power.
We don’t actually have a capitalist economy unless you think the mixed crony capitalism where congress decides the winners and losers with regulations is capitalism. Who is it that wants stringent government controls of business and who want deregulation?
Violent suppression of the opposition? The leftist seem to be getting away with extreme violence while destroying our cities with looting, arson, vandalism and crowds using intimidation to trap people in their cars while attempting to travel. I don't see a whole lot of suppression.
Belligerent nationalism? Both the left and right are equally guilty of interfering in foreign elections and bombing them when that doesn’t work.
Racism? The left likes to throw that word around but to do it they redefine the definition of racism and go so far as to claim that the current shibboleth of anti-whiteness is not racist.
I don’t defend the Republicans, I am not one of them, but it seems that the political left has more fascist tendencies than the political right.
