I’m not complaining about anything. I just pointed out that perception of middle class has changed over time.

One big change is ease of getting credit which puts people in unnecessary debt. When I was just starting out we bought something on credit that we could have paid for just to establish credit.

Times have changed and our perception of the difference in needs and wants have changed. No complaint, just an observation. Middle class was never about being able to satisfy all desires with money. That was, and is for the rich.
