I’ll have to read this again later to try and connect with the objective of the piece. I was hooked hard at trauma being passed on to your offspring and the rest was the sound of adults in a Snoopy cartoon.
This is a twist on the nature/nurture thing that goes beyond family line DNA in that life is not in a controlled lab. Is there a generic advantage in having parents/grandparents unscarred by serious trauma?
Was Nietzsche full of shit with the implicit trauma (didn’t kill you) making you stronger, and more disturbing making your children more fragile?
