I was in Vietnam when the raised fist Olympics too place. Some of the Bros in my platoon wore medallions with that back in the rear. I got that. When Kaepernick took the knee over police brutality toward black men I got that. Protesting the Betsy Ross flag is a bit over the top since she was a Quaker abolitionist. I don’t get that.

Frederick Douglass eloquently shined a light on the freedom for all original sin years ago when it was appropriate. It’s old news now, move on to current events.

There will always be people trying to cut off protest. The best defense is to keep the protest real. When you just try to inflame, expect flames.
