I see Buddhism and libertarian thought to be compatible, but I am both. What stuck me a interesting was your perception of other Western Buddhists which often call themselves “woke” which I find to be ironic.

When the Buddha achieved enlightenment he was asked what he was. He replied that he was awakened. “Woke” is an arrogant and insulting reference to Buddha’s awakening and enlightenment.

To claim Buddhist enlightenment because of leftist politics seems bizarre to me, but I am not awakened in the Buddhist or political sense so I am not the judge.
