I did not deny that it exists. I wrote that chanting white privilege as the shibboleth of virtue isn’t going to make it go away.
Much if not most bigotry toward various groups come in the form of low expectations from them in ability or behavior. If the group bears some responsibility for a stereotype they have a part in the solution, and that is not blaming the victim. At the same time addressing the fact that much of the issue of low expectations is unwarranted and people need to be shown the truth in that.
That goes beyond privilege except that there may be less of it aimed at them. There is nothing weirdly obtuse about that. It goes to the heart of the matter if you are problem solving as opposed to virtue signaling.
