After reading your somewhat libertarian guns and needles article I thought I’d read some more of your stuff and landed here. To quote the late Ross Perot, “They spent the money.”
It’s probably too late to prevent the Cloward–Piven strategy collapse so the idea that after we die our grandchildren will take care of everyone with a social program Utopia seems a bit optimistic.
Social programs are popular if you can pay for them, but they spent the money. A bit like the kids who took out crippling student loans for useless “Do you want fries with that?” degrees who want their loans forgiven. I don’t expect China to forgive our debt.
